There is nothing original left to invent in pop music which is why we all make do with the second hand ideas that our favourite bands present us with,the best ones reinterpret things well ,the others copy.

Chromium Hijack sample the best ,chop them into 30 second pieces and mix it up with their drum and bass rhythm patterns,sensitive then sadistic guitar and the treacle and woodbine voice of their frontman ,Luke.

In half an hour of music ,I hear Sonic Youth,Sabbath,Living color,Nirvana, Goldie,p.i.l and many more but its not notes that are "sampled" but emotions,passions,textures,feelings,ideas.
